Overview

Based on Patrick Dennis’ classic masterpiece Auntie Mame, recounting his life with his beloved aunt, Mame tells the story of a young orphan boy, Patrick Dennis, and his nanny, Agnes Gooch, who show up at his aunt’s house in Beekman Place, NYC, following the death of his conservative father.  Patrick arrives to find Mame at the height of the twenties, entertaining celebrities in Gatsby-like style with enormous enthusiasm, but with no idea how to raise a child.
